During the twilight days of the Roman Empire, men live by a series of complex moral codes revolving around the giving and receiving of oaths.

Breaking an oath was a huge undertaking in these spirtual days, to become a oath breaker was a deep stain on a mans social standing. The Lion of the sun is the story of one mans internal struggles to keep an oath and the consequences of breaking it.
